Description
1) Objective
The German Embassy in Havana has a fund for the promotion of micro projects, which respond to the specific needs of the population and take account of the basic needs of the poorest population groups. To achieve this goal they support i.e. the purchase of equipment or short-term training. Projects for environmental protection, health care or the improvement of local infrastructures are also eligible for funding.
It is important that there are timely, clearly defined measures without recurring costs, which can be completed within one calendar year. So far they have funded some aquaculture projects and other rural development activities aimed at income generation and poverty reduction.
2) Eligibility
Local NGOs, self help groups or religious institutions for the implementation of small-scale projects for the benefit of disadvantaged groups of society are eligible to apply for this funding opportunity.
3) Location
