The German Embassy Equatorial Guinea has means to finance local micro-projects in the context of development cooperation on an annual basis. The measures shall cover the basic needs of the poor and poorest populations. Special attention is giving to projects that improve the living conditions of local women. Eligible are only projects where no other funding source was secured. They do not fund salaries and ongoing recurrent expenditure on consumer goods, such as feed, pharmaceuticals, materials, etc. Small-scale projects are to be completed within the same financial year.
So far they have funded projects in the areas of agriculture and rural development (i.e. banana farms), training and education, or social and economic development, rehabilitation and extension of local infrastructure (school buildings, health centers and municipal buildings and other social institutions …), water supply, sanitary installation, energy supply, Equipment for health centers, Improvement of income and food (especially in agriculture), Material for training, education and awareness, Protection of the environment and nature at the local level, Fight against Covid-19, strengthening of health measures.
Eligible are local organisations and not individuals.
Actions must take place in Equatorial Guinea.
The promotion of small-scale projects is limited to the maximum grant amount of €10,000.
The deadline for submitting the request must be the 31.03.2022 for the fiscal year 2022.
