Description
1) Objective
As part of micro measures of technical cooperation projects by local carrier (the carrier itself is not) can be supported that have a social, humanitarian or charitable nature and be aimed at the poorest of the country. They may have no direct connection with ongoing projects of German development cooperation and must constitute a self-contained measures which do not result in recurring obligation.
Suitable projects can come from any sectors of poverty reduction, public health & sanitation improvement, income generation, basic education, vocational training, women empowerment, protection of the environment or else.
2) Eligibility
Non-profit organisations are eligible to apply.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Ghana.
4) Budget
The maximum budget is €10,000. Implementation of the measure must be not later than by the end of September of each year with the presentation of a detailed final report completed (preferably with photos) within three months.
5) Application
Applications must be submitted to the German Embassy in hardcopy latest by 15th January. The selection process takes place between February and April the same year. The application consists of: (1) presentation of the promoter; (2) presentation of the current situation; (3) short, precise description of the action (implementation period);designation of the objective and the personal contribution; (4) description of the use of German contribution; (5) developmental justification of the action; (6) representation of the sustainability of the measure; (7) expenses in Cedis and pro forma invoices; (8) declaration that no application is made to a different location and the project has not yet started.
