Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is to empower civil society organisations and to support their efforts to advance and defend human rights, particularly for the most vulnerable categories in society as well as consolidate their role as actors for positive change. In reference to the EU Gender Action Plan (III), specific interventions aimed at promoting and defending the rights of women and girls that fall within the targeted population should be highlighted.
The specific objective of this call for proposals is Promotion of Socio-Economic Rights of Persons with Albinism in Malawi.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as: civil society organization or an Associate of CSOs and specific type of organization and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Malawi. Actions must take place in five or more of the following districts: Balaka, Chikwawa, Chiradzulu, Dedza, Ntcheu, Nsanje, Thyolo, Mulanje, Machinga, Mangochi, Phalombe, Salima and Zomba.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €600,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €500,000 and maximum €600,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (60%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 28 May 2024.
