Description
1) Objective
The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the adidas Foundation and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) invite organization from Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala to apply for participation in the Sport and Safer Communities Initiative.
This Initiative supports organizations in Latin America that seek to strengthen social cohesion, prevent violence and foster peacebuilding by integrating Sport for Development (S4D) approaches. The project enables organizations active in peacebuilding, violence prevention and community development to adopt and apply sport-based methodologies within their existing work.
2) Eligibility
They encourage organizations with strong local presence and commitment to inclusive, conflict-sensitive approaches to apply.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala.
4) Budget
Selected organizations may request up to €60,000.
5) Application
Applications for the CoL must be submitted exclusively by email to dpd@giz.de. Expressions of interest received after the specified deadline will not be considered (final deadline: 16 March 2026 at 11:59 pm Colombia Time.
