Description

1) Objective

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), reaffirming its commitment to improving access to justice and promoting inclusive legal empowerment for marginalized communities and women in Albania, is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals from non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

This initiative, launched in the context of the “Enhanced Quality Legal Aid Services” – EQUALS Project (2025-2028), implemented by UNDP in Albania and North Macedonia, funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), aims to strengthen access to legal aid services and ensure equitable access to justice for vulnerable populations and women.

2) Eligibility

This call is open to Albanian non-profit organisations that promote, advocate, and contribute to the empowerment and access to justice of vulnerable groups and women so they can fulfil their rights, including within the formal justice system. Eligible organisations must be registered in Albania and have demonstrated experience in delivering legal aid, legal education, or human rights support services.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Albania.

4) Budget

Proposals should include a maximum budget of 2,500,000 ALL. Proposals exceeding this budget will not be considered. These are one-time grants with no expectation of follow-on funding.

5) Application

Interested CSOs are invited to submit grant proposals by February 2, 2025.
