Description
1) Objective
The overall objective of this call for proposals is to reduce Haiti’s vulnerability to the impacts of climatic changes.
The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
Reducing vulnerability and strengthening resilience to the effects of climate change of communities located in rural and urban coastal areas of the “Cascades de Pichon” watershed, municipality of Belle-Anse, South-East department of Haiti , through the implementation of innovative actions in the agricultural, ecological and biodiversity resources, renewable energies and coastal zone management sectors.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a non-governmental organisation, public sector operator, local authority, international (intergovernmental) organization as defined in Article 156 of the Financial Regulation of the European Union; and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Haiti.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €4,300,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €500,000 and maximum €1,600,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (75%) and maximum (90%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 22 months nor exceed 24 months.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 7 July 2023.
