Description
1) Objective
The targeted impact of the Communities Climate Adaptation Facility (C-CAF) is to empower climate-vulnerable communities by addressing their immediate adaptation needs while ensuring gender-responsive and socially inclusive approaches. This grant aims to enhance the adaptive capacities of these communities and support climate-resilient development.
Each funded project will:
1. Improve basic services, particularly for women, children, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups;
2. Restore ecosystems while integrating traditional and indigenous knowledge;
3. Support sustainable and inclusive livelihoods, prioritizing economic opportunities for underrepresented communities;
4. Preserve cultural heritage and strengthen community cohesion through inclusive adaptation efforts.
2) Eligibility
The following categories of applicants are eligible to apply under this Call for Proposals: Climate-vulnerable communities (individuals or groups), Non-profit local organizations consisting of members of beneficiary climate-vulnerable communities, Indigenous peoples organizations (IPOs) consisting of members of beneficiary climate-vulnerable
communities, Civil society organizations (CSO) consisting of members of beneficiary climate-vulnerable
communities, Grass-roots organizations consisting of members of beneficiary climate-vulnerable communities
3) Location
Actions must take place in Fiji.
4) Budget
The maximum grant amount is Fijian Dollars 200,000 (around €80,000).
5) Application
The submission of proposals will be received by 16 June 2025.
