Description

1) Objective

The Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP) offers support to human rights defenders under digital threat, and works to strengthen local rapid response networks. To this end, DDP provides emergency response and sustainable protection funding, strengthens rapid responders and local protection networks, increases trainers’ capacities through Field Building efforts, and contributes to long-term organisational safety through Digital Integrity Fellowships.

The Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP) invites human rights organizations and collectives from the SWANA region (Southwest Asia and North Africa) to apply for the Sustainable Protection Fund. This fund supports long-term digital security capacity building, offering grants of up to €15,000 for projects lasting 6 to 12 months.

2) Eligibility

The fund prioritizes organizations and collectives working on: Media and freedom of expression, Zivil- und politische Rechte
Feminist and LGBTQ+ movements.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen.

4) Budget

Grants may range up to €15,000.

5) Application

The application deadline is 7 May 2025. Applications must be submitted online.
