Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen civil society organisations (CSOs) as independent development actors to contribute to governance and development process in Thailand, with a view to contribute to the attainment of sustainable development goals (SDGs). The specific objective of this call for proposals is to promote an enabling environment for civil society organisations and enhance their capacity to better address issues of poverty and inequality and contribute to domestic policies process of Thailand, associated to the key dimensions of sustainable development – social, environmental and economic.
The priorities of this call for proposals are:
1. Enhancing community-based water management, flood governance and disaster risk reduction in the lower Chao Phraya river basin.
2. Enhancing CSOs’ participation in tackling climate change, fighting against climate change scepticism and raising awareness of the impacts of climate change and global warming for the environment and people’s lives.
3. Enhancing the voice of women and girls and/or youth to better engage in social, economic and environmental policy making and implementation.
4. Improving access to quality and affordable State services (e.g. health, education, social welfare, social protection) for marginalised and vulnerable populations.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as Civil Society Organisation.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Thailand.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €5,408,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €500,000 and maximum €1,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (75%) and maximum (90%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 15 May 2025.
