Description
1) Objective
PAS Amman invites proposals from U.S. and Jordanian not-for-profit civil society organizations, think tanks, cultural and arts organizations, government institutions, and academic institutions for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Jordan through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation.
All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Particular consideration will be given to programs with strategic and sustained activities for a duration of 12-18 months, as well as to applications that integrate multiple aspects of U.S. public diplomacy (e.g. American Spaces, Regional English Language Office, youth and opinion leaders, alumni outreach, etc.)
2) Eligibility
Eligible applicants include U.S. and Jordanian not-for-profit organizations, think tanks, cultural and arts organizations, government institutions, academic institutions, and individuals. For-profit entities are not eligible. Individuals can apply for up to $150,000.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Jordan.
4) Budget
The total program funding is estimated at $1,000,000, with an award ceiling of $500,000 and a floor of $50,000.
5) Application
There are two rounds for proposal submissions with deadlines on January 25, 2024 (Cycle A), and May 2, 2024 (Cycle B). Proposals should be submitted electronically, and further details can be obtained from the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Amman.
