Description
1) Objective
PAS Bujumbura invites proposals for programs that strengthen ties between the United States and Burundi through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include a U.S. element, connection with U.S. expert(s), organization(s), or institution(s) in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Applicants are strongly encouraged to partner with English Clubs, American Spaces or U.S. exchange program alumni to conduct activities
The Mission is particularly interested in projects that address one of our following Priority Program Objectives:
- Skills for Success
- Entrepreneurship
- Democratic Values/ Journalism
- Environmental sustainability
2) Eligibility
Grants are intended for committed and organized civil-society organizations, local representatives of civil society, think tanks, non-governmental organizations. Awards to individuals will also be considered and all grantees must have a non-profit status.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Burundi.
4) Budget
Awards may range up to $20,000.
5) Application
Applications can be submitted by 1 September 2022.
