Description
1) Objective
The U.S. Embassy Libreville Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Department of State invites proposals for its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. This program aims to strengthen cultural ties between the United States and Gabon through initiatives that emphasize shared values and foster bilateral cooperation. Proposals should incorporate an American cultural element or involve collaboration with American experts, organizations, or institutions. The overarching goal is to promote a deeper understanding of U.S. policies and perspectives while enhancing mutual cultural appreciation.
Projects can include cultural exchange programs, workshops, and other activities that highlight American culture and promote dialogue between the two nations. The program supports initiatives that create lasting connections and enhance the cultural landscape in Gabon, aligning with the broader mission of fostering international goodwill and collaboration.
2) Eligibility
The Public Diplomacy Section encourages applications from both U.S. and Gabonese entities. Eligible applicants include registered not-for-profit organizations, think tanks, civil society/non-governmental organizations with programming experience, individuals, non-profit or governmental educational institutions, and governmental institutions. There are no restrictions on the type of entity that can apply, provided they have relevant experience and align with the program’s objectives.
