UK For Her, With Her Fund: second call for proposals

Description

1) Objective

British Embassy Cairo invites proposals by 18 September 2024 for the UK For Her, With Her fund, which aims to reduce gender-based violence in Egypt. Concept notes should focus on one or maximum two of the three types of violence detailed below

• 1. Legislative Violence: Legislative violence occurs when laws and policies harm or marginalize specific groups, leading to discrimination and injustice.
• 2. Domestic and Social Violence: Domestic violence includes physical, emotional, sexual, and psychological abuse within the home, typically by a partner or family member.
• 3. Cyber Violence: Cybercrime involves criminal activities carried out using computers or the internet, including harassment, stalking, and the distribution of harmful content.

2) Eligibility

Organisations eligible to apply are as follow (Multinational bodies or INGOs are not eligible to apply): Religious institutions, Egyptian charities and non-governmental organizations, Local community groups, Schools and universities, Business and private sector, Research centers.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Egypt.

4) Budget

Projects will begin in April 2025 and run up until March 2027. Individual project budgets should not be more than £250,000 over two years.

5) Application

Please complete and submit the project bid concept note in the project concept note form (ODT, 43.9 KB) in English or Arabic by 18 September 2024.
