UNICEF is the agency of the United Nations mandated to advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential. The current 2021-2025 Country Programme of UNICEF in North Macedonia (hereinafter CPD) focuses on strengthening, in an integrated manner, a wide range of public systems responsible for child survival and development. It is ultimately aimed at enabling caregivers and enhancing services to support children to flourish and be protected from poverty, adversity, and exclusion. The achievement of this vision is expected through the following three dimensions: Child survival and development in safe and family type environment; Quality and inclusive education and specialized protection services; Cross-cutting systems including Social policy, Child rights monitoring and communication for development.
