Description
1) Objective
The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) aims to support African-owned and African-led enterprises in underserved communities across Africa. Through its Call for Proposals, USADF seeks to provide grant financing to agricultural cooperatives, producer groups, processors, and enterprises.
The objective is to empower these organizations to enhance their capabilities, increase revenues, create jobs, improve farmer incomes, and achieve sustainable market-based growth. By investing in innovative solutions, USADF aims to foster economic development and improve livelihoods in Africa.
2) Eligibility
The Call for Proposals is open to registered African agricultural cooperatives, producer groups, processors, and enterprises. Applicants must meet the specified criteria outlined in the application guidelines.
3) Location
The USADF is accepting applications from specific countries, including Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC, Liberia, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
4) Budget
Grants awarded through the Call for Proposals can be up to US $250,000. Applicants are encouraged to develop projects within the specified budget limits and align them with the identified sectors for each country.
