Description
1) Objective
The Zayed Sustainability Prize is the UAE’s pioneering global award that recognises and rewards small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), nonprofit organisations (NPOs), and global high schools with impactful, innovative, and inspiring sustainable solutions. The Zayed Sustainability Prize recognises nonprofit organisations (NPOs), small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and high schools for their impactful, innovative and inspiring sustainable solutions across the categories of Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action and Global High Schools.
The Zayed Sustainability Prize awards 6 categories:
- Health
- Food
- Energy
- Water
- Climate Action
- Global High Schools (1 award for each of the below regions): The Americas, Europe & Central Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia & Pacific, South Asia, MENA
2) Eligibility
You can nominate an organisation (SME or NPO) only for the new Climate Action category by registering in the Zayed Sustainability Prize submissions portal and filling out the form. You can nominate an organisation you are affiliated with or one with which you have no affiliation.
3) Location
The Fund is open to applications for funding from across the globe.
4) Budget
The total prize fund is distributed as follows: Health – $1,000,000; Food – $1,000,000; Energy – $1,000,000; Water – $1,000,000; Climate Action – $1,000,000; Global High Schools – $000,000.
5) Application
Submissions are open until 23 June 2024 5:00PM EST. All applications must be submitted online.
