Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen the role and capacity of civil society to promote and defend a more participatory, just and democratic society.
Lot 1: The specific objective of this lot is to strengthen the role and capacity of CSOs working in the area of diversity, equality and inclusion to promote the fair treatment and full participation of all people, including marginalised groups, in the Albanian society. In particular, the objective is to effectively engage, deliver services, raise-awareness, and advocate and monitor the reform process in the field of DEI to create greater public accountability and introduce a positive behavioural change in the Albanian society.
Lot 2: The specific objective of this lot is to strengthen the role and capacity of CSOs to advocate for an open government, promote good governance practices, including anti-corruption, in public administration at central and local level and to increase CSO oversight, monitoring and public awareness raising in these areas.
Lot 3: The specific objective of this lot is to strengthen the role and capacity of CSOs in the areas covered by chapter 24 of the EU acquis (Justice, Freedom and Security), including re-use of seized and confiscated assets.
Lot 4: The specific objective of this lot is to strengthen the role and capacity of CSOs at the local level to effectively engage, deliver services, raise awareness, advocate and monitor gender equality, as well as to prevent all forms of gender-based violence and strengthen women’s equal participation in all aspects of social, political and economic life.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation etc. and (3) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions can take place in Albania.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €7,200,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €400,000 and maximum €500,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (60%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 4 September 2025.
