The grants database includes over 1,400 open funding opportunities from more than 3,000 development donors across the globe and new funding opportunities are added every day.
The database has 11 search filters to make your search as accurate as possible: country of implementation, sectors, donor type, headquarters of donor, funding instruments (grants, loans, equity), eligible applicants, open or closed, opportunity size, date of publishing or free text search.
It contains daily updates from: US government (i.e. USAID), European Commission (i.e. EuropeAid), DFID, UN Agencies (i.e. UNDP), hundreds of private and corporate foundations (mainly USA and Europe), banks (i.e. AfDB), crowdfunding, impact investors and business incubators.

Resource Section, Webinars & E-Mail Alert
Our resource section provides you with over 50 useful and practical guides for your daily fundraising activities. These include donor overviews for specific countries (i.e. prospect research for Uganda), for specific sectors (i.e. 10 foundations funding energy projects worldwide) or specific regions (i.e. funding for the Middle East). We also publish guides for social businesses (i.e. 5 top foundation funding social businesses) or additional ‘hot’ topics in the development sector (i.e. climate financing).
Our webinars are a great tool to learn more about specific fundraising topics and to raise individual questions with our experts. You can either join directly or go through the presentation and audio recording at your convenience at a later stage. Some of our 14+ webinars are: “How to apply to USAID”, “How to get grants from German and Swiss foundations”, “Successful fundraising from European foundations”, “How to apply to the European Commission”, etc.
For our members we also offer a weekly E-Mail Alert. This alert covers all donor and grant entries of the last 7 days and is sent out via e-mail. Each opportunity is described in a short excerpt including deadline, sector, countries and direct web link. If a donor or grant opportunity is interesting for your organisation, you can add it to your favourites and easily keep an overview, print it out or save it as pdf. Click here for a sample.
Our Premium Members get individual assistance: we carry out 2 proposal reviews and 1 donor mapping for you.
In the proposal review, we comment on your draft proposal on how you can improve the documents to turn them into successful grant agreements with your donors.
For the donor mapping, we screen over 500,000 donors according to your preferred criteria (i.e. only foundations or only US/European donors) and provide you with 10 best matches. You then get a document with the description of the selected donors (app. 15 pages).
