Description
1) Objective
With its new funding program Young Civil Societies for Democracy in the cluster “Education drives the future”, the EVZ Foundation supports international youth education projects run by organizations in Germany, Georgia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine, and by Belarusian exile communities. The program aims to inspire young people to take an active role in civil society and advocate for their interests.
At the heart of the program are projects that not only promote participation – they actively equip young people with the skills they need to engage in civil society. Young changemakers are encouraged to develop their own ideas to promote democratic values and bring them to life through collaborative, cross-border initiatives. In doing so, they build the knowledge, competencies, and confidence to take an active role in shaping a vibrant and participatory civil society.
2) Eligibility
The call is open to nonprofit organizations that are committed to strengthening youth engagement and creating spaces where young civil society can thrive – with creativity, conviction, and the courage to drive change.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Germany, Georgia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
4) Budget
Funding amount must be between €20,000 and €65,000.
5) Application
Project proposals must be submitted in English by email to ycs@stiftung-evz.de by 11:59 p.m. (CET) on October 15, 2025.
