Description
1) Objective
The different lots are:
- Lot 1: NDICI – Global Europe Human Rights & Democracy Thematic Programme 2025-2027
The global objective of Lot 1 of this call for proposals is to increase protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law worldwide.
The specific objective of Lot 1 of this call for proposals is safeguarding fundamental freedoms, including harnessing the opportunities and addressing challenges of digital and new technologies in the context of Global Gateway on sustainable, green and resilient connectivity. - The global objective of Lot 2 of this call for proposals is to strengthen CSOs as independent actors of good governance and development in their own right.
The specific objective of Lot 2 of this call for proposals is to focus primarily on output 4 of above mentioned Action Document “Strengthened capacity of local CSOs to engage in climate action (adaptation and mitigation) including environmental protection and the green transition” while using output 1 “Strengthened capacities of local CSOs to engage in policy dialogue at national level and in dialogue, implementation and analysis of EU and national development plans and programmes” as the main modality and angle of intervention.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation and (3) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions can take place in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €2,784,500. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €1,000,000 and maximum €1,500,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (70%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 25 May 2025.
