Description
1) Objective
The Government of The Gambia, with support from UNICEF, is committed to strengthening child-friendly local governance as a key pillar of the realization of children’s rights and inclusive development. Local Government Authorities (LGAs) play a critical role in ensuring that children’s voices and aspirations, needs, and rights are integrated into planning, budgeting, and service delivery processes.
Result: By 2028, vulnerable children and adolescents will enjoy human rights-based social protection programmes through
equitable, efficient, and transparent budget allocation and execution.
