Description

1) Objective

Luena Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization that partners with locally-led, community-based organizations across the Global South to improve the lives of vulnerable children. They fund grassroots initiatives that create safe, inclusive, and lasting opportunities for children to thrive — with 100% of public donations directed to projects in the field. They invite community-based organizations in Asia and Oceania to apply for small grants that strengthen access to quality education for vulnerable children. They believe in the power of grassroots leadership, and we aim to support projects that are designed and implemented by local communities themselves.

They are particularly interested in projects that:

  • Improve access to early childhood, primary, or secondary education.
  • Support inclusive education for children with disabilities or special learning needs.
  • Provide learning materials, libraries, or safe learning spaces.
  • Strengthen teacher training, community tutors, or local education leadership.
  • Address barriers to learning (school fees, transport, school meals, gender inclusion).
