Description
1) Objective
The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy in Honduras Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) announces an open competition to implement programs that promote U.S. priorities and strengthen ties between the United States and Honduras. U.S. priorities include advancing regional security, celebrating U.S. excellence tied to the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, building regional economic prosperity, promoting use of U.S. science, technology, and innovation, and defending freedom of speech.
All programs must include an American element, or connection with American expert(s), organization(s), or institution(s) in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.
2) Eligibility
The following organizations are eligible to apply: Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations; Public and private educational institutions; Individuals; Public International Organizations and Governmental institutions.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Honduras.
4) Budget
The grant has an award ceiling of $40,000 and an award floor of $15,000. Total funding is $120,000.
5) Application
The closing date for applications is 4 June 2025.
