Description
1) Objective
The Youth Climate Justice Fund provides funding to emerging youth-led climate justice and socio-environmental groups through a participatory decision-making process. Our 2026 application round is now open. They believe that to achieve a fairer and more sustainable world we need to decentralize funding accessibility, thus they bridge youth initiatives with funding and capacity strengthening. They know that finding resources for youth-led climate justice work is difficult and can be overwhelming.
They work with youth organizers to better understand the different needs of the climate justice movement so we can collectively address them and build a stronger movement to equitably shift resources to historically underserved groups.
2) Eligibility
Your group or collective is led by young people aged 35 years and below. In order to be eligible for a YCJF grant, the majority of your leadership must be young people or the individuals with decision making power should be aged 35 years and below. Companies, design studios, NGOs, foundations, social enterprises, public and other organizations are welcome to submit.
3) Location
Actions can take place in East Asia and Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, Europe and Central Asia, and North America.
4) Budget
Eligible groups working at local or national levels are invited to apply for grants of up to $20,000 for local groups and $40,000 for national groups.
5) Application
The application period is open until March 1, 23:59 UTC.
