Description
1) About
The Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) was established in 2011 under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main purpose of AIDA is to support developing countries around the world int he following programmatic sectors: (1) poverty reduction; (2) science, research and innovation; (3) culture and arts; (4) health; (5) information-communication technologies; (6) energy resources; and (7) humanitarian aid. They have no defined focus countries and have since their inception provided aid to more than 30 countries worldwide. AIDA also cooperates on a multilateral basis, as they cooperate with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Colombian Presidential Agency of International Cooperation (APC Colombia) and other donor agencies through the implementation of joint projects.
