Description
1) About
Founded in 2004 as an initiative of the Gertler Family Trust, the Gertler Family Foundation (GFF) is committed to helping address the needs of vulnerable segments of the Congolese population. Across the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Foundation provides funding for projects in the following sectors: (1) health (incl. malaria, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and other endemic diseases); (2) education (from primary to university education, incl. scholarships); (3) infrastructure development (incl. roads, bridges, airports and hospitals); (4) cultural (incl. music and other cultural programs); (5) agriculture (incl. food security projects in rural Congo); and (6) emergency assistance (incl. shelter, clothing, food and other assistance after natural or other disasters).
