Description
1) About
The U.S. Embassy in Belize provides grant funding to non-profit organisations for activities to strengthen citizen security through job creation and leadership opportunities, as well as trainings in conflict resolution for youth and marginalised communities in Belize. Proposals should particularly confront the root causes of violence and crime in Belize in a creative and effective way and seek to create positive cultural and social conditions, which are the foundations of a peaceful and orderly society. Besides the grant funding opportunities, the U.S. Embassy also offers the the Humphrey Fellowship, which is a one-year fellowship program offered to mid-career professionals working at the policy level who have a record of leadership and a commitment to public service.

4) Application Procedure
Eligible applicants are U.S. or overseas-based non-governmental and non-profit organisations (NGOs), Public International Organizations (PIOs) and Educational Institutions. Applicants must provide documentation of legal status with the grant proposal. Organisations that have not previously received any grant funding are particularly encouraged to submit grant proposals.
