Description
1) About
Through its public diplomacy small grants program, U.S. Embassy Panama welcomes applications for educational, cultural and development projects led by Panamanian citizens, by local NGOs, and educational institutions. U.S. citizens may apply in conjunction with Panamanian groups. Projects must help Panamanians better understand the society, culture, and values of the United States in line with its four ‘Integrated Strategy Goals.’ It also aims to cultivate shared values between the U.S. and Panama in terms of human rights.

4) Application Procedure
Proposals can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. The Public Affairs Section usually takes 2-3 months to review and make awards. Grants are typically in the range of $2,000 to $10,000. While co-sponsor funding is not required, it greatly adds to the likelihood that a project will be selected.
