Description

1) Objective

The 2024-2026 English Without Borders (EWB) Network Program, funded by the U.S. Mission to Tajikistan, aims to enhance English language education across Tajikistan by supporting and equipping secondary school teachers with modern teaching methodologies and newly designed English textbooks. This initiative will provide professional development, peer-to-peer engagement, and networking opportunities for English teachers. The program intends to increase the participation of English language educators, particularly in rural areas, and enhance their ability to employ modern teaching methods. It also aims to strengthen the collaboration between English teacher associations and networks in Central Asia.

Additionally, the EWB project will offer comprehensive training, mentorship programs, and leadership development to build a sustainable network for English teachers and students, ensuring access to quality learning resources. The program aligns with Tajikistan’s strategy to improve English language learning by 2030 and addresses the rising demand for qualified English teachers due to the growing interest in learning English among students.

2) Eligibility

Eligible applicants include not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, civil society/non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions.
