Description
1) Objective
The general objective of this invitation to present proposals is as follows: Encourage the participation of cities and civil society organizations, including those who represent women, young people and people with disabilities, in democratic processes, to strengthen inclusive democracy e participatory in Moçambique. The specific objectives of this invitation to present proposals are as follows:
1) Enabling environment and dialogue: Enhance the capabilities of civil society, including organizations of women, youth and people with disabilities, to defend an environment conducive to action, and carry out a structured and inclusive dialogue with relevant actors, including authorities and groups of rights holders.
2) Capacities: Improve the capabilities of civil society, including the organizations of women, youth and people with disabilities, for management and strategic communication, or institutional development, for project management, for digital competencies and for participation in public policies.
3) Participation: Enhance the capabilities of civil society, including the organizations of women, youth, and people with disabilities, to participate in the development and monitoring of public policies.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) Be a civil society organization (CSO) (including non-governmental organizations, non-profit organizations and independent foundations, non-profit organizations in the private sector) and the respective networks/ alliances/ federations/ alliances/ platforms;; and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Mozambique.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €14,500,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €1,250,000 and maximum €2,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (85%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 2 July 2024.
