Description

1) Objective

The global objective of this call for proposals is to support Thai civil society actions to contribute to governance and development process in Thailand that respect human rights and democratic principles, with a view to the achievement of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The specific objective of this call for proposals is to increase capacities and help establish an enabling environment for Thai civil society organisations to:
i) promote and protect labour rights and promote safe working environment for all workers for decent work and economic growth
ii) reduce inequality through enhancing access to equal rights in social, economic and civic life of the most marginalised populations

The priorities of this call for proposals are:
1) Promotion of Labour Rights, Decent Work and Business and Human Rights (B+HR)
2) Promotion of Other Fundamental Rights

2) Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a civil society organisation and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Thailand.

4) Budget

The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €1,590,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €500,000 and maximum €570,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (85%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 48 months.

5) Application

The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 10 April 2023.
