Description
1) Objective
The U.S. Department of State’s U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh announces an open competition to implement a program to strengthen ties between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the United States of America through programming that promotes U.S. interests, American excellence, and bilateral cooperation. Priority program areas may cover one or more of the following goals:
- (1) Freedom 250 – Commemorate the 250th Anniversary of America’s Founding;
- (2) Safeguarding Americans and Cambodians Against Transnational Cybercrime and Advancing U.S. Technological Leadership and Economic Interests;
- (3) Engaging Alumni Networks to Advance U.S. Interests;
- (4) Promoting U.S. Higher Education;
- (5) Promoting American English Language Education, and
- (6) Countering Malign Influence and Promoting Free Speech. All programs must include an American element or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policies and perspectives.
2) Eligibility
Eligible recipients include Nonprofits non-higher education with 501(c)(3).
3) Location
Actions must take place in Cambodia.
4) Budget
Grants may range from $5,000 to $25,000.
5) Application
The deadline for submission is 30 August 2026. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
