Description

1) Objective

Through its projects, Bears in Mind focuses on three key areas:

  • Conservation (of wild bears and their habitat)
  • Education & Awareness
  • Welfare (of bears in captivity)

Bears in Mind is committed to the conservation of all eight bear species, with a main focus on Brown bear, Asiatic black bear, Sun bear, Sloth bear, Andean bear, and their habitat. Hence, Bears in Mind allocates a significant part of its budget to bear projects with a main focus on conservation, scientific research, education and captive bear welfare-related projects.

2) Eligibility

Bears in Mind cooperates with local NGOs, universities, governmental institutions and other stakeholders to address and work on bear-related issues, towards a sustainable solution.

3) Location

Geographically, the main focus lays in Europe, Asia and South America.

4) Budget
