Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is: to contribute to an asylum space in which displacement affected communities (asylum seekers, refugees and the host community) participate in fostering their common socio-economic inclusion and self-reliance. The specific objective of this call for proposals is: to enhance displacement affected communities’ access to decent employment in Garissa County.
The priorities of this call for proposals are:
• To support refugees and host communities to receive access to skills development opportunities, such as TVET training and other forms of training and or education;
• To work with Garissa County and other key stakeholders in promoting market-driven entrepreneurship and business development culture in and around Dadaab.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a non-governmental organisation, an international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by Article 156 of the EU Financial Regulation, an economic operator a and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Kenya in Garissa County.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €3,500,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €3,000,000 and maximum €3,500,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (90%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 48 months nor exceed 48 months.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 28 March 2023.
