Description
1) Objective
The war in Ukraine has had drastic consequences, both for people inside the country and for those around the world dependent on its huge grain supplies. It has caused one of the fastest forced population movements since the Second World War. Close to 6.5 million Ukrainians are living as refugees across Europe, and another 3.7 million are internally displaced. Many have lost their homes and livelihoods. As food production and supply lines are disrupted by fighting, many families in the east and south do not have reliable access to nutritious food. WFP emphasizes a localized approach, working through local partners, businesses, trade networks and institutions to support the Government and people of Ukraine.
This Call for Expression of Interests (CFEI) is launched to invite eligible International and National non-governmental organizations (INGOs/NGOs) – to express their interest in partnering with WFP to support implementation of the General Food Assistance via In-kind (IK) and Cash Assistance for vulnerable populations in Ukraine. The CFEI aims to identify potential NGO partners through a competitive pre-selection process.
