Description

1) Objective

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) and IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, are currently accepting Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) from Sri Lankan non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, Indigenous People’s organizations, women’s groups, youth groups and other civil society organizations for projects under the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Program (SGP). Projects must support community engagement in management of threatened ecosystems and species within eligible districts in central and southwestern Sri Lanka.

2) Eligibility

CEPF seeks expressions of interest from eligible parties. Nongovernment organizations and other civil society organizations with substantial experience in climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development or capacity building may apply for funding.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Sri Lanka (Nuwara Eliya, Kegalle, Ratnapura, Galle and Matara).

4) Budget

Grant size may range up to $60,000.

5) Application

All applicants must submit their applications by 9 October 2026. All application documents are submitted via the online portal.
