Child Survival Call 2025

Description

1) Objective

Through the Child Survival Call we help to improve child survival in sub-Saharan African countries with a high burden of maternal and child mortality. The Call is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #3 which aims, among other targets, to end preventable deaths of newborns and children under 5 years of age by 2030 and to reduce the global maternal mortality ratio, as well as SDG #17 which encourages and promotes partnerships to achieve the SDGs.

In this call, priority will be given to the following:

• Support for entities that work together in a network on impact, training or evaluation-based projects for maternal/newborn and child health programs and interventions, or other projects to strengthen health systems in countries with high infant mortality rates.
• Creation and strengthening of a collaborative culture between entities working in the same geographical area, with the aim of increasing their impact, creating sustainable actions and carryingout more comprehensive intervention.
• Reinforcement of existing partnerships and the establishment of new collaborations with additional players to help advance the SDGs.

2) Eligibility

The Call is aimed at networks of three to five entities that include Spanish, Portuguese and/or international non-profit organisations. All projects must have at least one entity from the country of implementation.

3) Location

Actions must take place in sub-Saharan Africa: Angola, Cap Verde, Ethiopia, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda.

4) Budget

Proposals up to a maximum of €450,000 including tax, if applicable: For networks of four or five entities (provided one is local). Proposals up to a maximum of €150,000 including tax, if applicable: For networks of three entities (provided one is local).

5) Application

The application deadline is 22 May 2025. All applications must be submitted online.
