Description
1) Objective
The U.S. Embassy in Eswatini, through the PEPFAR Small Grants office, is soliciting proposals for the Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) program. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of HIV treatment services across all regions of Eswatini by empowering local communities to provide feedback on service delivery. Funded under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the CLM program seeks to engage community-based organizations, civil society groups, networks of key populations, and other entities focusing on HIV programming.
Activities will include collecting both quantitative and qualitative data from HIV service users to improve service accessibility, health literacy, and accountability within the health system. Grantees are expected to collaborate nationally with PEPFAR and community stakeholders, and locally with health facilities and service users, fostering dialogue and action to address HIV-related challenges.
2) Eligibility
Applicants eligible to apply include not-for-profit organizations, civil society and non-governmental organizations, traditional community groups, faith-based organizations, public and private educational institutions, and networks representing key populations and people affected by HIV.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Eswatini.
4) Budget
Average SSH grants are $24,000 to $25,000 per project. Total available funding is $125,000.
5) Application
Interested organizations must submit applications electronically by August 12, 2024. Detailed submission guidelines and additional information can be accessed through Grants.gov or by contacting the Mission Eswatini PEPFAR Small Grants Management Team for assistance with the application process.
