1) Objective
The partnership is expected to enable joint and integrated implementation of core lifesaving interventions, in each province of Mozambique to ensure that children and their families, particularly the most vulnerable, benefit from resilient, adequate, equitable, affordable and inclusive access to basic services as well as capacity building of critical institutions through:
- Addressing the most pressing life-saving services after a natural disaster/conflict event/public health emergency
- Providing inclusive Health, Nutrition, Protection and WASH services, which ensure that the most vulnerable and disadvantaged households in communities have improved access to at least the basic services, including in schools and health facilities, with a focus on the specific needs of children with disabilities and girls.
- Supporting delivery of Behaviour Change interventions and skills development to enable parents, caregivers, girls, boys, children with disabilities and their caregivers to adopt good health, nutrition, WASH practices; and to demand accountability of community leaders, government, and service providers.
- Strengthening government and local authority-led systems to enable timely, effective, resilient, affordable, inclusive, equitable and sustainable access to basic services.
