Description

1) Objective

The global objective of this call for proposals is to support civil society in enhancing trust, dialogue, and cooperation and in promoting European Union values and standards through actions that contribute to promoting the reunification of Cyprus.

The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:
1. To increase the capacities of CSOs in the TCc to achieve the targets of the European Green Deal. This specific objective will be addressed by Lot 1 – Environmental actions.
2. To promote dialogue and collaboration among the Cypriot communities via confidence building measures and joint actions by civil society organisations across the divide. This specific objective will be addressed by Lot 2 – Bi-communal confidence building actions.
3. To encourage civil society in the TCc to pursue meaningful socio-economic change by participating in decision-making, influencing changes and fostering sectoral and cross-sectoral cooperation at local and EU level. This specific objective will be addressed by Lot 3 – Strengthening civil society in the TCc.
4. To especially encourage diversification of EU funding to CSOs who have not previously benefited from EU grants in the TCc. This specific objective will be addressed by Lot 4 – New applicants.

2) Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a be a civil society organization and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Uzbekistan.

4) Budget

The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €2,250,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €100,000 and maximum €200,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (60%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.

5) Application

The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 22 July 2024.
