Description
1) Objective
The TY Danjuma Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of life of Nigerians by supporting initiatives that improve access to health and educational opportunities. Their vision is to contribute to building a Nigeria where all citizens have access to affordable quality health care, education and equal opportunities to realize their potentials. The Foundation uses the Discretionary Grants to provide help to Nigerians affected by humanitarian emergencies. The Grant is administered all year-round to facilitate rapid response across Nigeria to people facing humanitarian emergencies or for any other intervention as determined by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
The overarching goal of the discretionary grants scheme is to ensure responsiveness by the Foundation to legitimate needs that arise between board meetings and before or after the annual call for concept notes. Projects to be considered for discretionary grants must: (1) Fall within the Foundation’s focus areas (Health and Education); (2) Clearly identify a problem, propose solutions and outline target beneficiaries; (3) Be rapid or short term with measurable outcomes and a concrete impact on communities; (4) Cost less than or equal to five million naira (₦5,000,000); and (5) Project the work of the Foundation.

Eligible applicants are not-for-profit organisation registered and working in Nigeria.

Maximum award amount is $13,900.
