Description
1) Objective
UNHCR is looking at expanding partnerships with non-profit Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), international and national, that can implement multi-sectoral programs considering IDPs, returnees, refugees and affected host communities. UNHCR is looking at enhancing the HDP nexus, looking at a stronger involvement of development actors, to mainstream protection across multi-sector projects and through solution lens in 2023.
UNHCR is also aiming at strengthening area-based approach in prioritized areas (including, but not limited to, Montepuez, Mueda, Pemba, Chiure and Metuge, as well as areas of return, Palma, Moacimba da Praia, Quissanga) to strengthen synergies and complement programmes across different partners and interventions. Localizations and support to local NGOs and Government authorities is also a key component of UNHCR protection and solution strategy for 2023.
