Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is: to improve EU-China bilateral relations, promote mutual understanding and advance the EU’s policy priorities in China, by means of nurturing trust and establishing networks, alliances and partnerships with target audiences and key stakeholders at the level of non- governmental actors, think-tanks and academia in the EU and China.
The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
1. Reinforce EU’s long-term engagement with influential European and Chinese think tanks and academic institutions on topics of relevance for the EU and the EU China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
2. Enhance the knowledge, understanding and perception regarding the EU among specialised audiences in China in the field of international relations.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be a public or private think tank and/or a research or scientific institution and/or an academic institution (including higher education institutions) that issues post-graduate and higher level degrees; and (3) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in one or more of the following countries or regions: P.R. of China and Member States of the European Union.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €1,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €250,000 and maximum €500,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (51%) and maximum (80%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The full application together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 1 March 2024.
