Description
1) Objective
Founded in 2011, the Cassiopée Foundation (Fondation Cassiopée) support projects in France and across the developing world that work in the areas of social inclusion of marginalised groups and poverty alleviation in general. Their project support ranges from micro-entrepreneurship especially for women and youth to health, general livelihood support, agriculture, education and construction support (e.g. schools and community centres) as well as social inclusion.
2) Eligibility
The Foundation works with French NGOs (projects must be proposed by an association with its head office in France).
3) Location
They work in Africa (e.g. Malawi, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Madagascar, and Togo), Asia (Bali, India, Cambodia, and Philippines) and Latin America (Brazil).
4) Budget
Grant sizes are not displayed.
5) Application
Applications can be submitted throughout the year, using the word template (3 pages) that can be downloaded on their website (templates in French only). The application must be submitted by email to contact(a)fondationcassiopee.org. The Foundation prefers to co-finance the projects and other donors should be clearly stated in the budget and financing plan. The board meetings of the Cassiopée Foundation take place twice a year (in November and June).
