Description
1) Objective
Startnext is a crowdfunding platform for German speaking countries where users can raise money for projects addressing an international audience and covering various subjects like agriculture, journalism, community development, education, social businesses, technology etc.
2) Eligibility
Every individual or group is eligible to launch a fundraising campaign, although, according to the “all-or-nothing” principle, it is necessary to reach one’s pre-defined fundraising goal within the expected timeline in order to actually receive the fund. Supporters of your project will get their money back in case your fundraising goal has only been partially reached.
3) Location
Startnext operates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland but one can raise money for projects worldwide.
4) Budget
Theoretically, there are no limitations for the size of funds, although practically, fund sizes for projects range from a few €100 to up to €100,000, in rare cases even more. Startnext charges 4% transaction fees.
5) Application
Users can start a project on the platform provided on the Startnext website. Once the project has been registered, one must briefly describe the project, specify the funding goal, timeline, and rewards, add images and a pitch video, create blog posts for the project page and track the statistics.
