The Caucasus Cooperation Foundation for Youth Development (CCFYD) aims to promote the holistic development of children and young people on an international level. To that end, they finance and support projects in the fields of education and training. They also promote cross-cultural exchange. The Foundation supports projects that, among other things, promise a multiplier effect, are implemented locally, benefit also the local population and economy and open up opportunities for children and young people that they would not otherwise have. The projects they have funded in the past include, among others, support for a scout centre, children’s film clubs, and the building of a lodge.
The CCFYD Foundation supports projects that
- have a direct reference to the South Caucasus
- serve the personal development of children and young people
- promise a multiplier effect
- are implemented locally
- are sustainable
- benefit also the local population and economic
- promise development potential
- promote intercultural and social exchange
- open up opportunities for children and young people that they would not otherwise have.
CCFYD’s preferred model is to work with local non-profit partners. By closely monitoring autonomous local partners, they ensure that their work complies with current local needs and thus provides a worthwhile investment in the future. They are always interested in new projects which contribute to the holistic development of children and adolescents in the Caucasus region.
Actions must take place in the Southern Caucasus, in particular Georgia.
Individual grant sizes are in the range of CHF 40,000 to CHF 100,000.
CCFYD is always interested in new projects which contribute to the holistic development of children and adolescents in the Caucasus region. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees decides on the funding of projects. Project proposals can be sent directly to the Board of Trustees which then makes the final decision (info(a)ccfyd.ch).
