Description
1) Objective
The Climate Emergency Fund provides support to individuals and organizations who demonstrate the intention and capability of disrupting the inadequate and immoral gradual approach governments around the world are taking to addressing the climate emergency. CEF supports only nonviolent, legal activities which reinforce the goal of constructively raising awareness and demanding urgent action to address the climate emergency.
Grants from Climate Emergency Fund can only be allocated toward legal, nonviolent activities, such as recruitment, training, and political education. They only fund groups that use disruption in their strategy and tactics. Grantees must tell the truth about the climate emergency and call for systemic change in response.
2) Eligibility
For US-based organizations, they require an IRS designation letter for the grantee or its fiscal sponsor. For international organizations, they require the relevant nonprofit certification documents for the grantee or its fiscal sponsor.
