Description
1) Objective
The objective of the ‘Our Rights, Our Pride Program’ is to strengthen the LGBTI movement towards a culture of non-discrimination and tolerance, for the advancement of the rights of LGBTI people in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. For this, the FMS mobilizes resources towards LGBTI organizations in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, who work in the defense and recognition of human rights of LGBTI people and fight against violence, persecution and discrimination. Technical and political support and support is also provided to strengthen the organizational and political advocacy capabilities of these organizations, work in networks and alliances is promoted, and information about the situation of violation of human rights.
The results that are expected to be achieved with this Program are: (1) LGBTI organizations and groups located in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay strengthens its organizational capacity and advocacy strategies for the advancement of civil, political, social, cultural and economic and non-discrimination, at national, regional and international level; (2) LGBTI organizations and groups in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay generate collective awareness and knowledge to advance, or avoid setbacks, of human rights of LGBTI people; (3) LGBTI organizations and groups in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay reinforce their exchanges and learning experiences, and strengthen alliances, networks and associations between them and other social movements at the level National and regional; and (4) LGBTI organizations and groups and activists increase their political participation in decision processes for the advancement of rights civil, political, social, cultural and economic and non-discrimination, to Nacional level.
2) Eligibility
The organizations that are part of the Program are grassroots groups and intermediate organizations made up of LGBTI people are eligible.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
