Description
1) Objective
The Karl Kahane Foundation was established in 1991 by the late Karl Kahane as an independent, privately funded, non-political and non-religious charitable foundation, and is based in Switzerland. It aims to help people to create a dignified and peaceful living environment for themselves and their neighbors. The KKF works together with various secular and religious organisations, be they Jewish, Christian or Muslim with utmost respect to their cultural and religious backgrounds of its partners as well as their social and political roles. KKF engages into dialogues with project initiators and local people who know best what their needs are. Where necessary, the KKF helps to find experts, advisers and sponsors. The Foundation does not initiate or execute projects of their own.
Based on current events, funding in this round will be focused on:
- Accessibility: Promoting and improving the emotional well-being, self-determination and inclusion of persons with disabilities and special needs.
- Migration / Inclusion: Fostering self-sufficiency, inclusion and well-being for migrants.
- Social Mobility: Offering a path to self-sufficiency to those in the most vulnerable situations in society.
2) Eligibility
Non-profit organisations working in various fields as that of the Foundation are eligible to apply.
3) Location
Actions can take place in Europe and MENAT (Middle East, North Africa and Turkey) regions.
4) Budget
The Kahane Foundation does not publish any max/min funding sum, as need varies greatly from project to project. The award amount depends on both the project’s need and their evaluation.
5) Application
For the upcoming Fall/Winter application cycle (FWC), they will exclusively open to our running partners, who will be invited by the Foundation’s team to submit their application. Regrettably, they are not able to consider new and unsolicited applications.
The application window opens on 24th of November and closes on 12th of December 2025 at noon 12pm CET.
